Kyoto

Hi, I'm Kenya.
I'm from Kyoto in Japan.
Kyoto is near Osaka and Nara.
Kyoto is very old city.
It has a lot of famous temples.
Many people visit there.
Kyoto is a big city, but we can relax with old buildings and nature.
If you come Kyoto, you enjoy sightseeing.
Thank you.

  1. Hi Kenya -
I spent a few days in Kyoto many years ago.
A professor at a university there really liked a book I wrote in 2002 0r 2003 and so I went to visit him and to talk to his students.

It's a really amazing city: steeped in history and with incredible buildings round every corner.

You're very lucky to live there.

    Thanks for posting.

  2. Dear all ,

I have been to Kyoto 4 times , the left side picture temple is called 「清水寺」 , I have been to 「清水寺」 4 times . The temple is made all of wood . When you visited 「清水寺」that can pure and quiet your soul .

And the right side picture temple is called 「金閣寺」 , I have been to one time in 2005 . 「金閣寺」used 「gold leaf 」to sticky the temple out side , the beautiful 「金閣寺」can catch your eyes .

Kyoto is the quietest and most secluded city .

  3. Dear all ,

The Kyoto city copying form Chang An ( 長安 ) of Tang dynasty ( AD 618 - 907 ) in China .

Chang An was the capital in Tang Dynasty At the time.

And Kyoto is very smaller then Chang An .

Chang An ( 長安 ) is called Xi An ( 西安 ) right now .

Japan government sent a lot of student ( about 300 people ) to Chang An to learn every thing at the time , for example : words , clothes , building house , eat , botanical , Tang poetry , etiquette and culture and so on .

Japanese name is Chinese , but Japanese will say that this is Japanese not Chinese , hahaha............for me , this is no problem .

The world is very wonderful .

    with love
