The book's name is ' The Black Cat ' . I understand every word and it's a interesting story .

How interesting about it ? Sorry , I haven't finished reading the book yet .

What about your Saturday and Sunday ?

Falling in love ?

Wow ! I am jealous .

Sorry , I am 100 year old and I've forgotten the taste of love .

  1. Great to hear you've been reading, Chen Chen, and even better to hear you understood the vast majority of it! Reading is a great way to learn new language - and to help you remember what you've already studied.

I've had a brilliant weekend. Friday night I went out to Bethnal green Working Men's Club in East London, where some friends of mine were putting on a club night featuring old rarely seen short films from the BFI (British Film Industry) archive. Saturday, me and my wife and daughter went first to a car-boot sale in Tottenham, then on to a big second-shop in Walthamstow. We were looking for 50s and 60s furniture for our house, but didn't find anything. Then we went up to Kenwood House in Hampstead Heath for lunch and for a big long walk. Saturday night we stayed in and watched an old movie - The Deer Hunter - on TV. Today, I took my daughter to her swimming lesson and then we went down to Green Lanes, near my house, where the Harringay Food Fair was going on -the whole road was closed and there were people selling food everywhere, lots of things for kids to do, outside bars, and so on. It was really nice.

The only bad moment this weekend was the football, as my team, Arsenal, suffered a terrible 4-3 defeat!
